FIELD OWNERSHIP

Control at the point of entry.

Every critical field in your SAP master data has a steward. SDM enforces that ownership at the field level before bad data can enter the system.

THREE CONTROLS

How field governance surfaces in SAP

Grey Out

Fields outside a steward's ownership are greyed out, visible but not editable. Prevents accidental changes without hiding context.

Highlight / Required

Fields that must be populated are highlighted and marked as required. Users cannot save the record without completing them, no workarounds.

Hide

Fields irrelevant to a specific role can be hidden from their view entirely, reducing screen noise and preventing accidental population of out-of-scope fields.

HOW IT WORKS

Visible Governance. Clear ownership. Zero ambiguity.

SDM enhances the standard SAP screen, it doesn’t replace it. Your stewards see exactly what they’re responsible for, with governance controls surfaced right where they work.
